Coldplay brings the heat

On July 13th 2009, Coldplay, one of the biggest British alternative rock currently around, came to the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View to play a sold out show to a crowd of over 30,000 people. The show began promptly at 6 with quirky opening acts Kitty Daisy and Lewis, a British rockabilly trio, and Amadou & Mariam , an African blues duo from Mali, pumping the crowd with their melodic beats. Coldplay, infamous for their great live performance and amazing light shows, did not fail to impress with their set list showing variety from their early independent days to the current Viva La Vida monster hits. Special surprise? Look up youtube for their special version of Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean”.
